The Questions of Faith – If God exists, why is there so much wrong with this world?

Below are the notes from the eighth session of a study entitled “The Questions of Faith.” This 15-session series attempts to answer some of the questions raised by participants from our last study. This week we worked of the question, If God exists, why is there so much wrong with this world?  You may listen to a podcast of this session on the Cove Presbyterian PodBean page.

If you found this study meaningful, please consider sending an offering directly to Cove Presbyterian Church, 3404 Main Street, Weirton, West Virginia or through PayPal.

When Things Are Wrong

  • Not everything that’s “wrong” from our perspective is actually wrong.
  • Evil comes from humanity and is a result of human sin. God responds to human sin by withdrawing his protection. (Romans 1:18-32)
  • Ultimately, God’s will is mercy and compassion. (Romans 11:28-32)
