A Christian Response to the Gay and Lesbian Movement

  • Sincere and dedicated people can interpret the Bible passages in different ways.
  • Although it’s not a central biblical theme, homosexuality is mentioned explicitly in several passages and may be inferred in some others.
  • How we relate to homosexuality within the church and society may be shaped by our biblical perspective and other factors.

When Things Are Wrong

§
  • Not everything that’s “wrong” from our perspective is actually wrong.
  • Evil comes from humanity and is a result of human sin. God responds to human sin by withdrawing his protection. (Romans 1:18-32)
  • Ultimately, God’s will is mercy and compassion. (Romans 11:28-32)
